Last pre season test for Solaris Motorsport in Vallelunga before the debut in the International GT Open

Pescara, Italy – Solaris Motorsport looks very good to the first race of 2015 GT Open Championship, scheduled on the end of April at Paul Ricard circuit, in France. On April 8th, the Italian team was in Vallelunga for an intensive test session, the Corvette Z06R completed over 80 laps, setting interesting lap times all day long. The test was the right opportunity to show the new paint scheme designed by LAPPE and the new OMP Racing suits wore by Francesco Sini and Stefano Costantini who will be part of 2015 european GT3 championship.

I’m really happy! We drove all day long without trouble and we settled good times with both new and used tyres. Kilometer by kilometer I had a much better feeling with the car and I could improve my lap times cutting some tenths. – said Francesco Sini – I’m excited to face my opponents in a real race! I have a good feeling with Stefano, we have a very similar driving style and often we have the same ideas on how develop the car. I think it will be a very important factor during the season.” The american coupè was again very competitive in Vallelunga: “We completed a lot of laps testing various setup settings and checking the tyre deterioration during the long run. Now we have to wait the Paul Ricard chronometers’ response to know how much we are competitive.

With more than 400 kilometers covered in a single day by the american couopè, the apprenticeship of Stefano Costantini is definitely over and now the Rome-native driver is ready to fight again in the tournament where he was protagonist in the last two years: “The car is well sensitive to setup changes and we should have a good pace during all the race length. If we will keep working this way, we could reach important goals in this season. The car seems very competitive and the team works hard, we have all we need to be on top in each race. My goal is to improve the good performances of last year and with Francesco and Solaris Motorsport we can really point very high!

Two weeks to the first race of the season and in the Solaris factory everyone is conscious to have a big opportunity, Roberto Sini, Team Principal, confirms this feeling: “We will go in France with the awareness to have a good potential but also the humility to know we will have to learn still a lot of things. In each test session the car was very competitive, it had suffered substantially zero problems, we have a couple of drivers with a very high potential ready to share every information about the car. And, first in first, we have an incredible team that showed its value in 2014 when we won the EuroV8 Series and the unique Italian GT Championship race we participated.

The 2015 International GT Open season will start on 25th and 26th of April in France, on the historic Paul Ricard track with the first two races of the year. The championship will took place also the best circuit in Europe: Estoril, Silverstone, Red Bull Ring, Spa, Monza e Barcellona.
